چکیده
Using semi-quantitative methods, the distribution of deep-water agglutinated foraminifera (DW AF) was analyzed within Latest Albian-earliest Turonian pelagic limestones famous Bottaccione standard section. The characteristic bathyal communities include forms purely "flysch-lype" assemblages and elements which are typical Upper Cretaceous abyssal environments North Atlantic. Well-established planktonic foraminiferal calcareous nannofossil zonations allowed to directly gauge stratigraphic ranges DW AF, contributing a better chronostratigraphic calibration zonation. Differences in sorne biostratigraphic marker species were observed. morphogroups enabled us interpret levels oxygenation organic input. effects Cenomanian-Turonian boundary event (here represented by ichtyolithic-bituminous-radiolaritic Livello Bonarelli) on AF explored detail. A major faunal change consisting marked decrease density richness recognized middle Rotalipora cushmani Zone coinciding with sedimentary regimes related extensive oxygen depletion sea bottom.

High-resolution Deep-Water Agglutinated Foraminiferal record across the Paleocene/Eocene transition in the Contessa Road Section (central Italy)
The distribution of benthic foraminifera across the Paleocene/Eocene (P/E) Boundary of the Contessa Road section allows us to compare the response of both calcareous hyaline and Deep Water Agglutinated Foraminiferal (DWAF) assemblages to the terminal Paleocene Benthic Extinction Event (BEE). The two groups are contemporaneously affected by the terminal Paleocene events. Quantitative analysis re...

In this research systematics and biostratigraphy of the Cretaceous deposits foraminifera in Kerch section, southwestern Qayen, in the eastern margin of the Lut Block, were studied in detail. This section with 260 meters thickness, mainly formed by gray to cream color marl and shale, marly limestone and limestone laid on a light-colored limestone bed at the base. Seventeen genera and twenty two ...

The Gurpi, Tarbur and Sachun formations have been investigated in the studied section in the Fars Province, in order to determine their sequence stratigraphy. On the basis of done studies on the cores of borehole, four main microfacies have been recognized in four stratigraphic sequence deposited during the Campanian to Maastrichtian. The lowermost sequence, was deposited in the early Campanian...

AbstractThe Aitamir Formation is divided into two members the lower sandstone and the upper shale. 32 genera and 57 species of foraminifera have been recognized. According to identified foraminifera Rotalipora appenninica Interval Zone, Rotalipora globotruncanoides (Rotalipora brotzeni) interval zone and Whiteinella aumalensis-Dicarinella canaliculata assemblage zone are proposed and a l Albian...
